The team at Veil has a big debt of gratitude we'd like to share with the world, and we want to start by saying thank you. Thank you to the investors, clients, colleagues, and friends who have put their faith in us and the mission we are on.

No matter what the business is, for any company raising capital in order to launch, the first round of investment is always the hardest. Even for biotech and life-sciences investors, genomics is still a relatively esoteric subject. Most investors aren't involved in biotech or life sciences, so for the vast majority of investors out there, genomics is a totally foreign concept. For Veil to have closed its seed round within six months of launching our capital raise is a testament to the caliber of our co-founders and team, the level of trust people have in our abilities, and the value our company can create for such a wide range of research initiatives.

Before we launched the company, we started putting the word out about what we were doing through our networks of friends and colleagues, and the response was amazing. People were lined up for our services before we even had the capital to operate the company. Then we completed our first project and received our first payment less than 60 days after fully launching the company; and that 60 days included building out a lab space. We could not have come this far so fast without the people who believe in genomics' ability to change the world.

So whether you are an investor, a client, a colleague, or a friend who believes in genomics and the people behind Veil — thank you, again. Thank you for putting your time and resources behind the work you are doing and/or the work we are doing. We're going to pay our gratitude forward by making this world a better place by helping all of the brilliant minds we work with accelerate their discoveries.
